February: More storms and the odd nice day

The title just about sums up February. There is an epic amount of snow up on the mountains above 1500 feet. all the storms have dumped huge amounts of snow and the wind has created very large cornices. So far this year I haven’t climbed a classic gully line, they have all been buried. Lets hope for a good late season.

Oh well lets hope for a great March. It can’t be alot worse than January and February…….

January in the white room

What a stormy January it has been. It was just one storm after another and days were snatched against the odds. There is a huge amount of snow up there and things are well banked out. We just need a lull to be able to get to things, Actually a thaw would help conditions no end but unfortunately things are looking similar fo the start of February.
